iglidur® GLW | Low-cost material for large volumes

With iglidur® GLW we can offer our customers an alternative to iglidur® G for large series applications. Featuring similar mechanical properties as iglidur® G, iglidur® GLW is primarily recommended for static loads. These applications, where the properties of iglidur® G are unimportant to a degree , iglidur® GLW presents a cost-effective alternative.

Typical applications

  • Automotive
  • Machine tools
  • Robotics

When to use it?

  • When an economical universal material for high volumes is required
  • For high, primarily static loads
  • For low to medium speeds

When not to use it?

  • When mechanical reworking of the wall surface is required
  • For primarily dynamic loads
  • When extreme wear resistance is required
  • For use under water
