igubal EFOM 2.0 – the classic in its second generation with housing optimisation and weight reduction
The EFOM two-hole flange bearing offers a multitude of benefits that make it ideal for supporting shafts in various applications and industries. It complies with the E dimensional series and is characterised by maintenance-free dry operation, which makes external lubrication unnecessary and thus offers ecological and economic benefits.
The housing design of the EFOM‑2.0 has been optimised for a completely flush installation surface and enables reduced dirt ingress. Nature-inspired tree-notch geometry enables more efficient use of material, allowing for a reduction in weight without compromising the structural performance. The optimised stress distribution reduces stress peaks and maintains the performance of the predecessor model.
The housing is made of the impact-resistant polymer igumid G, which can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +120°C (short-term up to 180°C). The spherical ball materials can be selected, with the following options available: iglidur W300 (standard), J and J4.
The EFOM two-hole flange bearing is capable of compensating for misalignment and edge loads. With its very light weight, it helps to reduce the overall load on a system and is also corrosion-free, making it ideal for use in demanding environments. In addition, the EFOM offers excellent vibration damping and is insensitive to dirt and dust increasing its reliability and durability.
