The drylin D1 motor control system is a versatile and particularly user-friendly solution for controlling stepper, DC and EC/BLDC motors in industrial applications. It enables quick and uncomplicated commissioning, as the complete configuration is carried out directly via a browser-based interface – without any additional software installation. Users can intuitively set motion parameters such as position, speed or travels and easily automate recurring sequences. Thanks to common interfaces such as PROFINET, CANopen or Modbus TCP, the D1 can be easily integrated into existing control systems. At the same time, it impresses with its performance with high voltages and currents as well as its flexible usability in a wide variety of applications, from single axes to more complex automation solutions.

For this, you initially only need four things as minimum equipment:
Then start your Internet browser, connect the control system to the PC/laptop, switch on the power supply to the D1 and the display of the D1 dryve lights up. With the IP address, which you simply enter in the address bar of the browser. The connection is made! Without installing software. You can start programming directly on the user interface afterwards.
The following can be adjusted: travel mode, positions, speeds, accelerations and other parameters for controlling a linear axis - and all this without extensive or special programming skills.
Experience how easy it is and what you can configure yourself live with our online simulation. There you can try out the user interface for yourself. A virtual drylin linear axis moves directly according to your inputs.

Integrating the D1 into higher-level industrial control systems is easy. Digital inputs and common communication protocols such as CANopen or Modbus TCP make connection to systems such as PLC control systems or industrial PCs particularly uncomplicated.
In addition, the D1 convinces with its versatility: it works just as reliably with microcontrollers such as Arduino or single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi. This means that the D1 offers ideal conditions for use in IoT projects.
Below is a selection of control systems with which successful solutions have already been implemented. Depending on the requirements, different communication interfaces such as digital inputs and outputs, clock/direction signals, analogue inputs or protocols such as CANopen and Modbus TCP (gateway) were used to ensure a smooth connection between the D1 and the higher-level control system.

We recommend choosing a maintenance-free drylin linear axis with an igus motor. Many motor parameters are adopted automatically by the D1. This saves you from configuring the motor at all.
Among other things, the D1 motor control system is suitable for electric operation:
