Economical linear systems for flexibly adjustable labellers

Bluhm Systeme GmbH has been working closely with us on its labelling systems for several years now. The impetus for this was a customer enquiry for a labeller with flexible format adjustment. Specifically, the customer asked for a device that could apply labels in different sizes and whose positioning width could be flexibly adapted to the product to be labelled.
While searching for a suitable solution for the desired adjustment unit, the manufacturer of labelling systems came across our product portfolio. Three things in particular were decisive for the manufacturer: they were looking for a cost-effective solution that would also work reliably and fulfil all the technical requirements of the labelling unit.
The result was the "Tamper Evident", a compact labeller that can be used in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries, for example, to apply various sealing labels to products of different sizes. Initially, the employees of Bluhm Systeme GmbH assembled our components for the adjustment unit themselves and installed them on the Tamper Evident. However, the assembly turned out to be very time-consuming. Instead, the manufacturer wanted to make the process more effective and speed up the installation of the adjustment unit in the Evident tamper. To this end, personal advice was sought.

In order to simplify the process for Bluhm and reduce assembly times, the customer was offered a ready-to-install format adjustment without further ado.
The drylin® linear guides used not only give the Tamper Evident with its adjustment unit maximum flexibility when adjusting the labeller. They are also insensitive to dust and dirt, making the labeller suitable for harsh environmental conditions. Furthermore, the linear guides do not require any additional lubrication, as their sliding elements contain incorporated solid lubricants. This not only saves the user maintenance time later on, but also costs for maintenance and lubricants.
The long service life of the drylin® linear guide enables Bluhm Systeme GmbH to supply its customers with a product of the highest quality. With the repeatability, precision and speed of the drylin® components, the batch changeover time of the Tamper Evident has been reduced. The labeller can apply 500 sealing labels per minute. Every second that can be saved during customisation pays off. This is why the complete automation of label changes and format settings is a topic that Bluhm is consistently pursuing. It enables additional time savings and reduces sources of error. Further collaboration is already planned for the future, as demand for the machines continues to rise.
